Abortion is one of the many contentious issues that have recently come up, even before the 21st century. Recently, the rate of abortions has been skyrocketing. In this essay, I’ll show why I disagree with legalizing abortion.
Abortion is a process of prematurely terminating a pregnancy through surgical means. While the need for abortion is common even in countries that prohibit this procedure, access to safe and legal abortion services is far from guaranteed for those who may need it.
It is a decision that millions of people commit every year. At the same time, Abortion has always been a sensitive and hot topic as it is a deeply personal matter between the involved parties. Opinions about abortion were formed by other people’s emotional, religious, political, and ethical beliefs.
The fetus’s brain contains the complete complement of brain cells. It is present as early as 20 weeks, ready and prepared to receive pain signals from the body, according to Minnesota Concerned for Life (Unborn babies). A developing baby at 20 weeks of pregnancy can feel pain more intensely than an adult since they are forming themselves and can sense pain from everything they experience. Their level begins to change at 20 weeks.
Since abortion involves taking human life, it should not be legalized. Women who choose abortion suffer psychological harm as a result. Additionally, having an abortion can lead to serious health issues, and the worst-case scenario may be death in some situations.
Giving a baby to someone who will care for and love them would be easier and better than having an abortion and risking the chance of losing your life. Aborting mothers run the risk of never being able to conceive again in their lifetime. Some women might also experience some nervous issues after having an abortion.
In conclusion, abortion involves putting a woman’s body in danger and ending a new life. Unfortunately, many people are unaware of the truth, and those who have had abortions frequently believe the fetus is simply a “thing.” Everyone should be accountable for their actions. Some people believe that abortion is a simple way to prevent getting pregnant.
It sounds simple, but they appear to lack accountability for their activities. It is due to a lack of knowledge about abortion. Pregnant women are unaware of the effects abortion has on their bodies. Either way, legalizing abortion may cause several women to undergo physical and mental health issues.
