Feminism Essay

Feminism started in 1848 when a large group of women held the Senaca Falls Convention to discuss women’s rights. They outlined an ideology and mapped out a political strategy to win the right to vote. Feminism advocates not only for women’s rights but for all gender’s equal rights and opportunities. 

Feminism is respecting women’s identities, experiences, knowledge, and strengths. Its goal is to strive to empower all women and to make them realize their full potential and full rights. 

Feminism has provided increased opportunities in education, workplaces, and government positions for women. It also raised awareness about every woman’s right to decide about pregnancy and the right to make personal decisions.
